On November 11th 2020, the second annual Tri-Valley Funding Our Heroes Wounded Warrior Project 5k will commence. This event is an annual fundraiser organized by members of the Tri-Valley National Honor Society to raise money for Veterans through the Student Ambassador Wounded Warrior Project.  Our vision is to raise funds to help veterans facing challenges.

  • More than 52,000 servicemen and women have suffered physical injuries in recent military conflicts.

  • 500,000 are living with invisible wounds from depression to post-traumatic stress disorder.

  • 320,000 are experiencing debilitating brain trauma

The Wounded Warrior Project is a nonprofit organization whose mission is to honor and empower wounded warriors.  The Wounded Warrior Project offers free programs and services to hundreds of thousands of warriors and family members.  These programs directly connect warriors with each other and their communities; serving them by offering resources designed to meet their greatest needs; and empower them to live life to the fullest. Our vision is to foster the most successful well-adjusted generation of wounded service members in our nation’s history.  The Wounded Warrior Project works to give a voice to those in need and empower warriors to begin their journey to recovery.

  • The Veteran Administration estimates 17 veterans take their own life every day, an alarming statistic.  The Wounded Warrior Project recently helped train warriors, family members and others to identify signs that someone may be considering taking their life.

  • Wounded Warrior Project leaders held a live, global town hall broadcast with wounded veterans and leading clinical specialist in post-traumatic stress disorder.

  • Wounded Warrior advocacy efforts helped pass major legislation to provide treatment for warriors coping with post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injuries.

  • Wounded Warrior Project offers programs to connect warriors, improve mental wellness, improve physical wellness, offer career and VA benefits and counseling and an independence program

Please help support those who have selflessly sacrificed for our country, our freedom and our safety by participating in the fundraiser in any way you can.
